HFL Sport Science Certificate of Analysis

Because of Evolv’s unique properties involving oxygen utilization, promoting a healthy inflammatory response and its positive effects on athletic performance, we have had many inquiries from professional, amateur and collegiate athletes seeking assurance that the product is safe to use and free of banned substances.

We are proud to announce that the product has been professionally tested by a leading WADA-approved lab and found Evolv’s Nutraceutical Beverage to be safe and legal for use in any professional sporting event.

HFL Sport Science, the lab behind Informed-Choice, was engaged to test the Archaea Active™ formula in Evolv for prohibited substances. HFL offers the only supplement testing program that uses a WADA-experienced lab and ISO 17025 accredited analytical methods to analyze for banned substances.

This is great news and validates our philosophy that scientifically-driven products can also be natural, safe and effective at the same time.

Correction
Evolv would like to correct the previous post on January 15, 2010 entitled “Evolv Approved For Use By Athletes.”    Please note that the United States Anti-Doping Agency (“USADA”) does not endorse any supplement or supplement manufacturer or marketer, nor does the USADA certify any substances as being free of banned substances and as such the USADA does not endorse or approve any Evolv products.

Miami Herald: Ricky Williams “swears by” Evolv

si rickyWe have known for many weeks of all-pro NFL running back Ricky Williams’ affinity for the Evolv beverage. And we also knew that soon after he first started drinking Evolv, he happened to have one of the best games of his NFL career.

Out of respect for his privacy we did not share this experience with anyone. However, much to our surprise Ricky broke the story himself  in today’s Miami Herald. We are delighted and appreciative of this and we welcome Ricky as an Evolv consumer.

Thanks Ricky!

Athletes and oxygen

Just handed over two of our last three Evolv sample cases of for Oklahoma State quarterback Zac Robinson and OU quarterback Sam Bradford for their games this weekend. As a loyal Texas Longhorn I feel like I’m sleeping with the enemy. (Anyone know Colt McCoy? I’ve got our last case ready for him!!)

In a previous life I consulted for a company that made a device that “acclimated” the body to high altitudes. The user would sit in a chair for an hour a day breathing from a mask that slowly reduced oxygen intake, thereby training the body to process oxygen more efficiently. They marketed this to athletes, cyclists and football players primarily. This is where I learned how much a little oxygen goes a LONG way in the world of competitive sports. Everyone is always looking for the performance edge.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could bottle that? Hmmm……

Athletes will love Evolv, and we feel that competitive athletics could be one of our biggest markets. They understand oxygen’s importance to enduring, recovering, and winning.

This will be demonstrated when several well-known college football players will be found drinking Evolv on the sidelines in stadiums this weekend. Stay tuned for follow ups on how it went.
