You Can Be The Evolv Cinderella Story

Being a Cinderella story means you have overcome all the odds to reach something that others had deemed unattainable for you. It’s no secret that one of the reasons I chose to attend a small private college in southern Minnesota was because I wanted to live in the “State of Hockey.” And although it’s been a few years since I’ve left Minnesota, I still find myself cheering for their college teams. One of my favorite Cinderella stories would have to be from the small town of Bemidji, Minnesota and the 2009 Bemidji (pronounced ba-mij-ee) State University hockey team.

In the tournament, the usual college hockey powerhouses were in the top 16 including Boston, Michigan and Minnesota Duluth, but it was rounded out by the Bemidji Beavers proudly holding spot #16. In the first round, Bemidji stunned #2 ranked Notre Dame with a 5-1 win…unbelievable! In the next round, Bemidji faced #9 ranked Cornell University and came out with a 4-1 victory. This feat alone made the Beavers the first ever 16th ranked team to reach the frozen four! That alone will give you goosebumps. This team worked together to overcome all the odds and all the naysayers to get to where they wanted to be. And although the Beavers did not go on to win the entire tournament, you can’t forget the tenacity and grace they showed from game to game.

I shared this story with Dr. Anne and she quickly said, “well that sounds like network marketing!” Wait, network marketing is like hockey? No wonder I feel at home here! :)   She went on to tell me this:

“Often when you don’t feel like making one more call, or doing another PER because some guests have canceled, these are the times when you push through and commit to doing what you said you were going to do for your business. Something shifts and your commitment and dedication is recognized once again.  Every day people unexpectedly connect with you inquiring about what you’re doing, if they can place an order, or better yet, become a Member. I’ve personally experienced this type of scenario in my network marketing career and have talked with countless other leaders who have shared the same.  So how can you make the most of it? Evolv Executive Director Yvonne Berry shares her 4 main activities in hitting Executive Director:

  1. Set your Goal of Hitting Executive Director IMMEDIATELY!
    Dont just set your goal of hitting ED, put it on paper and post that Goal up EVERYWHERE!
  2. Concentrate on your team hitting their positions.
    We all know you need 20k in volume with approximately 7k coming from your lesser leg.  But we cannot forget that we need two Regional Executives as well.  So, if you concentrate on helping two of your team members hit Regional Executive, you will be positioned to hit Executive Director by default.  Make sure you identify two team members who you know are on track to hit RE and preferably in your lesser leg.  From there, meet with them for a “LETS GET BUSY & GET IT DONE” meeting asap!  Set their goals of hitting RE with them and set a game plan of getting that done.
  3. Digging deep into your team.
    If you want to help your team members hit Regional Executive, you’ll need to help them break some Senior Executives and some Managing Executives.  So the moral of this story is that when you are running for ED, it is no longer about you.  It’s 100% about your team!  So it’s time to dig deep!  Yes you want to be personally sponsoring people every day, but now you want to concentrate your time on helping your team personally sponsor people and helping your team hit their positions.

    •    Check your ECenter “Downline Report” and run all of your new team members that have joined your organization daily.  Contact them within 24 hours and welcome them to the Evolv company and to your team.
    Set up a GETTING STARTED meeting with each of your new team members within 24-48 hours to get them up and running the right way.  Make sure at your Getting Meeting that you are setting up their first PER (Private Evolv Reception) so you can get into their warm market asap!
    Focus on helping all your new team members hit the ME position that first week which will help your other team members hit SE and RE by default.
    Make sure you are doing your 1on1’s, 2on1’s, PERs, 3way calls etc…for all of your upcoming team members in your future RE’s organization.
  4. You have to lead by example.
    Try not to MANAGE your team.  This is not a job and you are not their boss.  You have to lead by example each day.  Don’t expect your team to do anything you are not willing to do.  As yourself each day, “If my team did what I did today for their business, would they be any closer to their positions?”
    It will take hard work, focus and sacrifice, but hitting Executive Director is well worth it in the end.  And the feeling you will have watching your team members hit ME, SE, RE and PE along with you….well, that’s PRICELESS!

Evolv Executive Director Ron Sineni shared with us a few things he does to build a successful Evolv business.

“First things first, get the book ‘The Slight Edge – Secret to a Successful Life’* by Jeff Olson. After reading it, you will have a better idea of what it takes to be successful.

Next, sit down and carve out your days Monday through Saturday, hour by our from 5am to 10pm. In that schedule, fill out each hour with what you plan to do. Fill in your Evolv phone calls, webinars, events, and other things you are doing to build your business. At the end of each day, take time to reflect on what you actually did. Most people plan out their days, but only 5% of people (and those are the successful ones) look back and reflect on what they actually accomplished.  After reflecting on what you did that day, figure out what you are going to change tomorrow to make the next day even better.

Every day plan on getting out there and introducing two people to Evolv. They must answer “yes” to one of these questions:

1.) Are you looking for extra money?

2.) Are you looking to feel better?

3.) Are you looking for an all natural edge in your performance?

When someone answers yes to one of these three questions, then give them a bottle of Evolv, share a product brochure, compensation plan brochure or Life Essentials Journal, ask for their name and phone number and follow up with them in the next few days.

During the follow up, if they answer yes to “would you like to know more”, then invited them to your next event, a three-way call, PER or live presentation.

If they answer no, don’t get discouraged. Instead, ask them if they know anyone else who would like to know more.”

This Wednesday during the July Kick-Off Call Executive Directors Derrick and Michelle Jackson joined the call to share their four keys to success that have helped them reach the June Top 50 and the overall leader board.

1.) Energy – this is the most recognizable thing that people can see. Energy is contagious and when you have energy, others will mirror your energy. When sharing the Evolv opportunity with others, be sure to have a lot of positive energy!

2.)  Empowerment – It is up to leaders to empower others. When you empower others you give them the strength to reach their goals.

3.) Execute – another key to success is execution. There must be a small gap between what you say and what you do. If you are telling others to do something and you yourself don’t do it, you will not be leading by example.

4.) Evolv – afterall this is who we are! The word evolve means to change, advance, progress. As a leader if you are not moving forward, then you are not leading.

Miss last night’s June Kick-off call? Here’s a recap.

Great call last night! Trey and Brent made some great announcements including the Zero-to-6 “Top Enrollers” winners Mike & Stacy Healy and Brandy Wells.

Trey got the call heated up with his announcement of a ground-breaking incentive being unveiled at the June Regionals in Atlanta and Portland this Saturday. Hard to keep a secret this big, and there’s a twist: as a part of the incentive, attendees at the Regionals will directly benefit by being present when it is announced.

By Trey’s estimation, Evolv is going where others have not gone with a previously “unimaginable promotion” that will rock the industry. Next, he announced the formation of the “Evolv Life Plan”, Evolv’s platform to assist Members in accumulating and managing wealth.

How to build your business with the June Regionals

A training was held last Saturday by the Master Distributors teaching members how to build for the June Regionals from anywhere.  Did you miss it?  Did you know you can build for the Evolv June Regionals from anywhere?  That’s right!  You don’t have to be living in one of the featured cities to build there.  Here’s how you do it:

  • First, reference these slides atlareacodeshowing you each regional market area and all area codes to pull from for the event.
  • Next, go through your personal Rolodex and flag the contacts that have a matching area code.
  • Next, get with your team and walk them through the same process.
  • Now, using the script below (or any script you’re comfortable with) begin to connect with your contacts.

Hello Anne…

“I was wondering if you could do me a favor? I recently aligned with A VERY WEALTHY AND SUCCESSFUL entrepreneur by the name of Trey White out of Dallas to expand a new science-backed water beverage into national distribution.  We’re opening (his/her market area, e.g. South Florida ).  It’s a great financial situation.   2. Move them to a Tues/Thurs conf call.  Register them, or direct them to register at http://whyevolv.eventbrite.com/
  3. Place them on a call with one of the Upline or Team Leaders (This is done immediately after attending a call/event…the fortune is in the follow up!)
  4. If you happen to be in a featured city, invite them to meet you one on one, or to a Personal Evolv Reception (PER)

With our continuing growth, it is ever more important to shore up our efforts to comply with the regulations we all must follow. As we’ve discussed in previous posts, it is absolutely critical that any marketing material created by Evolv Members, including written or verbal testimonials,  remain free of any claims or promises as outlined in our policies and procedures.

We have beefed up our compliance division and are scouring the Internet and marketing materials for unapproved claims.   We cannot afford to be passive on this subject. This is about protecting you and your business.

What can you do?
•    When in doubt, do not post or use anything that cannot be found on our current web site or in our official marketing materials.
•    Send your testimonials, benefits-related comments and stories directly to the experience mailbox.
•    Please review any marketing materials you use. If they contain any potential  unapproved claims, remove them immediately and send them to compliance for review.
•    If you find material for others that could violate our terms, let us know by forwarding them to compliance for review.
•    Be sure any materials you use are labeled with our new “Independent Distributor” logos available in your eCenter office

So be a (good) example of company stewardship. Show your fellow Members the steps that it takes to protect the company by practicing safe marketing.
