FutureCeuticals® Research Summary — Explanation of Results
The second phase of ex vivo studies with FutureCeuticals® is now complete. In order to help you better understand the significant scientific importance of these exciting results, below are some definitions of terms as well as a summary of findings.
DEFINITION OF TERMS:
Ex vivo: Tests performed ex vivo (Latin: out of the living) take place outside an organism but can be performed in or on tissue—in our case, on human blood cells—with the minimum alteration of natural conditions.
Bioactivity: Bioactivity refers to the specific effect on, or a reaction in, living animal or plant tissue upon exposure to a substance., i.e. happenings inside cells.
Oxygen Metabolism: Oxygen Metabolism is one of the key ways a cell burns fuel to produce useful energy. It is a set of the metabolic reactions and processes the body uses to convert biochemical energy from nutrients into Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP).
ATP and ADP: ATP or Adenosine Triphosphate (Tri- means 3) is a coenzyme used as the main energy storage and transfer molecule in the cells of all known organisms. ATP breakdown to ADP or Adenosine Diphosphate (Di- means 2) releases effective energy the cell uses in its every activity, including just staying alive. This is a constant process. The rapid breakdown and rebuilding of ATP provides the rapid energy transfer required for efficient cellular activities including growth, reproduction and healing.
Krebs Cycle: The Krebs Cycle refers to a complex series of chemical reactions in all cells that utilize oxygen as part of their respiration process. The Krebs Cycle is ongoing in the human body.
Free Radicals: Free Radicals are molecules responsible for aging, tissue damage, and many diseases. They are unstable and must bond with other molecules, thereby destroying their vigor and perpetuating the detrimental process.
Lactic Acid: Lactic Acid is the by-product of the anaerobic energy pathway, or glycolysis, whereby ATP is produced from carbohydrate metabolism. Lactic Acid provides fuel for tissues and liver production of glucose and glycogen, and helps use dietary carbohydrates. Too much of it, however, can interfere with electrical signals in the muscles and nerves, slowing energy reactions and causing undesirable physiological behavior.

ROS: ROS (reactive oxygen species). are chemically-reactive molecules containing oxygen. During times of environmental stress, ROS levels can increase dramatically. This can result in significant damage to cell structures.
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS:
The Archaea Active™ formula produced measurable ex vivo bioactivity when subjected to FutureCeuticals® bio-analytical platform.
The ex vivo research performed by FutureCeuticals® verified that the Archaea Active™ formula stimulated oxygen metabolism and increased ATP production. More importantly, the formula increased oxygen metabolism and ATP production without undesirable increases in lactic acid levels or free radical production. Researchers are not aware of any other supplement or formula, to date, that has the same potential benefits without these negative effects.
FutureCeuticals® TargeTest™ results have shown to date:
1. The Archaea Active™ formula stimulated intracellular oxygen metabolism within fresh, viable human blood cells from multiple donors.
2. The Archaea Active™ formula increased intracellular ATP production within fresh, viable human blood cells from multiple donors.
3. As intracellular ATP production went up, intracellular ADP production went down. This is desirable, healthy Krebs Cycle activity.
4. Observed increases of intracellular ATP within blood cells were not accompanied by inordinate increases in intracellular lactic acid within fresh human blood cells.
5. Observed increases in intracellular ATP and oxygen metabolism within blood cells were not accompanied by increases in intracellular HORAC (hydroxyl free radicals) or intracellular ROS (reactive oxygen species).
FutureCeuticals® expects to publish its first scientific paper containing details of this exciting research this fall. The next phase of testing, also scheduled to commence this fall, will include acute human clinical studies. These will be followed by a larger placebo con¬trolled human clinical study utilizing a double blind method at the end of 2010 or beginning of 2011.

Science behind Evolv is helping the Gulf oil spill

Several Members have asked if 
EvolvHealth and Health2o Products, manufacturer of the Archaea Active™ formula, are doing anything for the Gulf oil spill.
If you are familiar with the history of our bio-catalyst, you will remember that the Archaea Active™ formula was originally created for bioremediation — cleaning up contamination using live organisms. It was this concept of positive biological stimulation that was manipulated over several years to include only food-grade ingredients, thereby making it safe for human consumption.
The original bio-catalyst is one of several ingredients in a product called PowerClean, to be used in the Gulf clean-up. PowerClean has long been listed on the EPA National Contingency Plan Product Schedule. The patented formula also includes a blend of surfactants and microbes that perform a variety of tasks in contamination cleanup. Integra Environmental has received an initial order for 10,000 gallons of the PowerClean water treatment to test on the spill.
Of course, PowerClean is not the same product as your all-natural Evolv; rest assured we won’t be pouring gallons of Evolv into the Gulf of Mexico. You can be proud, though, that the science that originated the Archaea Active™ formula is aiding in the cleanup efforts.

Silly comparison, but still interesting

I always hesitate to compare Evolv and Archaea Active with any bottled water. As you know Evolv has a real human benefit far beyond water, and there really is no comparison. As a daily reader of amazing testimonials from our consumers I can tell you first hand this product helps a lot of people, every day.
But we still use Evolv like a bottled water, right? So just for fun, think of most store-bought bottled water. Dasani? AquaFina? Not naturally-sourced. It is much easier to just treat tap water for the volumes they produce than it would be to bottle water at a natural source. I promise you the Coca-Cola company is not sourcing Dasani anywhere near a mountain stream.
In Evolv’s case, the water is sourced at the edge of the Ouachita National Forest, many miles from population or agriculture centers. There it is delivered from a hearty aquifer, in its purest form. Before the Archaea Active is added, the water it is filtered far beyond what is required or what is typical of other bottled waters.
Of course, no store-bought waters contain Archaea Active, making comparisons with Evolv frivolous at best. But I love knowing the water that serves to deliver the Archaea Active ingredient to my body also happens to be one of the best waters I can drink. ~jg

Evolv ready to help in Haiti

The Evolv team is gearing up to provide humanitarian assistance for victims of Tuesday’s devastating earthquake in Haiti. Trey has allocated 43,000 bottles of Evolv for shipment to Haiti as soon as possible and the team is currently in discussions with representatives of rescue groups about logistics.
Says Trey, “We’re in a position to provide something these people truly need. We have been so moved by the tragedy unfolding in Haiti, we knew we had to do something to help.”
Our team’s primary challenge at the moment is the lack of available infrastructure to get supplies to the island. The earthquake has rendered the port in the capital unusable and bottlenecks at Port-au-Prince’s airport have constricted the amount of supplies coming into the country. We are working with professionals to get water to the victims as soon as possible.
Our efforts to make some positive impact on this horrible event is in line with our ”Give-Share-Evolv” philosophy. We will keep you updated as we have news to share.

We had a great chat with Tiffany Whitchurch, Evolv Senior Executive, and she shared why she chose Evolv over other network marketing companies and why she is excited about the Evolv opportunity. Thanks for sharing Tiffany!
I have never been in the network marketing industry before. In fact, I have spent the last 20yrs of my life on guard, defending myself against MLM’s! For some reason, I am a target for anyone who starts a new MLM business. I am not a fan of MLM “dog and pony shows”, or all the “larger than life” hype that goes along with them. Nothing turns me off more than new MLMers selling un-real expectations, and “Let’s make a deal – easy money” sales pitches.
Evolv is very different.
For me, one of the most refreshing and important things about Evolv is the people behind it. From Trey White, down, everyone I’ve met is real, very down to Earth, and passionate about people. They are people of principle, whose hard work and commitment have afforded them true success.
True success only comes by making positive life choices based on principle, and by establishing, applying and being dedicated to that set of lifestyle principles and ethics. Once this becomes habit, it is easy. But learning to do it takes hard work and commitment. Once people learn this, anything they do will be a success.
When you are able to find a business opportunity with a company who has a firm foundation of people of principle, there is no question the product will be amazing too! I believe that a company and product should be able to sell itself without saying a word, and Evolv does!

He was a member of the University of Vermont Medical School for seven years and was later recruited to be head of the Section of Pharmacology at M.D. Anderson where was promoted to Professor in 1991 with tenure.

Why we combine the Archaea Active formula with pure water

Most everyone we encounter loves that Evolv is a water product. Everyone drinks water, everyone needs water. So simple.
The inventors of the Archaea Active(tm) formula decided water would serve as the best and most natural method to introduce Evolv to the human system. They believed that anything that needed to be done to “prepare” the product meant fewer people would be using it on a regular basis. A new potion to drink or a new powder to mix, in their estimation, would interfere with a person developing a lasting positive dietary habit. With the launching of Evolv and the advent of so many Members who will soon become associated with the sale of the product, it is important that all Evolvers understand the association between EvolvHealth LLC, Health2o Products, LLC and M. D. Anderson.
Early in the life of what is now the Evolv product, Health2o Products, LLC (our manufacturing company) chose M.D. Anderson’s analytics analytical laboratory to conduct analytical tests due to its position as the best testing center in the nation to identify and quantify the active molecules in the water and the biobase starting material.
Of course, this testing is done completely independently. M. D. Anderson provides sophisticated testing and analysis of materials sent to their analytical laboratory and provides test results to HealtH2O Products, LLC and has no association, ownership or financial interest in or with HealtH2O Products, LLC or EvolvHealth LLC.
